Most clubs start to open up during the night time. Even though there should be plenty of lights, there may also be areas of darkness where dancers could potentially injure themselves. Excess Alcohol Consumption

These venues also tend to sell alcohol on-site. If people choose to drink, they should do so in moderation. Binge drinking is never a good idea as it will negatively affect health both in the short and long term. Alcohol can make dancers disoriented. They may end up falling over and hurting themselves. Excessive drinking also often results in nausea and vomiting. For these reasons, dancers should monitor how much alcohol they drink and not overdo it.

Additionally, alcohol reduces inhibitions and judgement. This might seem like a good thing, but it can cause drinkers to act the wrong way during social situations. Being self-aware inside the dance club environment will stop people from making mistakes they might regret later.


There has been a disturbing trend of drugs being dropped into drinks at clubs. For this reason, people must keep an eye on their beverages. Unfortunately, many drugs are colourless and odourless, making them hard to detect. Some people prefer only to order bottled drinks to increase their safety. Another issue is that the symptoms of drugging can mimic that of alcohol. If someone feels extremely unwell and dizzy, vomits or loses consciousness, they should seek medical attention.


Dancing for an extended period will eventually cause people to become dehydrated. This can be exacerbated by the heat of the dance floor. Water helps the body to regulate cooling. Drinking h20 regularly will prevent the symptoms of dehydration and improve a person’s mood.

Dehydration is likely to increase the more that alcohol is consumed. It is also a contributor to painful hangovers. A useful trick is to drink a pint of water before bed. It will not completely cure a hangover but will reduce some of the discomforts.

Thieves can sometimes operate in these venues, and if a person has unneeded money, cards or keys on them, they increase their risks of getting robbed. Purses are particularly popular targets, so owners should keep an eye on them at all times. When in doubt it is best to only bring essentials such as ID, a small amount of money and a phone.

Getting Home

It can be a nightmare at the end of the night if clubbers do not have a plan for getting back home. Taxis might be unavailable, forcing people to walk in the dark. Pre-planning the route and method home is a smart thing to do. So too is booking a taxi in advance or bringing a designated driver.
